Sox unveil Spring Training slate

BOSTON -- The Red Sox of 2015 will take the field in Grapefruit League action for the first time on March 5, with a road game against the Twins.

The next day, the Sox will host the Marlins for a 1:05 p.m. ET contest at JetBlue Park.

The Sox released their entire Spring Training schedule Wednesday, including the announcement that the reporting date for pitchers and catchers will be Feb. 20, followed by the first workout Feb. 21.

The first full-squad workout is slated for Feb. 25. All team workouts are free and open to the public.

Before participating in the Grapefruit League schedule, the Sox will get a tuneup in the annual college doubleheader against Northeastern University and Boston College, which will take place March 3 at 1:05 p.m.

Tickets for all 18 home games go on sale Dec. 6 at at 10 a.m. and will remain at 2014 prices.

The Sox will have a road trip on the east coast of Florida against the Mets and Cardinals on March 8-9, in Port St. Lucie and Jupiter, respectively.

There will be rivalry meetings with the Yankees in Tampa on March 11 and March 13 at home.

There will be two games against the defending American League East champion Orioles -- on March 7 as part of a split-squad in Sarasota and at home March 20.

The Red Sox finish their Grapefruit League schedule with three straight against the Twins on April 2-4 before boarding a flight to Philadelphia in anticipation for the season opener on April 6.

The ceremonial departure of the equipment truck -- always a rite of spring for Red Sox fans -- will take place at Fenway Park on Feb. 12.
