Youk's ankle feeling better after off-day

TORONTO -- Marred with injuries this season, the last thing the Red Sox could afford was for another player to land on the disabled list.

Luckily, after succumbing to a freak ankle cramp in the fourth inning of Tuesday's game against the Rays, first baseman Kevin Youkilis is OK, and started Friday night in Toronto. Youkilis had to be removed from Tuesday's contest, leaving the field limping. He also started Wednesday in St. Petersburg.

"The day off [Thursday] helped a lot," Youkilis said. "I felt good walking, so hopefully when I run and do all that stuff, I'll be fine."
