Marlins at the plate:
Dan Uggla connected on a two-run homer off Matt Ginter in the fifth inning, as the Marlins scored in every inning. Hanley Ramirez had two singles and a triple, scoring three times. Ramirez singled and scored in the first inning on Jeremy Hermida's sacrifice fly. Uggla also doubled in the first. In the second inning, Mike Jacobs doubled and scored. Ramirez's tripled in the third inning and scored his second run of the afternoon. Uggla, who hit a line drive to right field that was dropped by Brandon Moss, was credited with an RBI. In the fourth inning, Jacobs added his second hit, a single, and scored. Reggie Abercrombie doubled in the fourth.
Red Sox at the plate:
Kevin Youkilis doubled to open the second inning, and he scored on Enrique Wilson's sacrifice fly to left.
Marlins on the mound:
Starter Renyel Pinto gave up one run on one hit in two innings, striking out two and hitting a batter. In three innings of relief, Brian Moehler yielded one hit, striking out two.
Red Sox on the mound:
Starter David Pauley gave up three runs on five hits in three innings. In relief, Matt Ginter surrendered three runs in two innings.

The Marlins have a split squad on Thursday, when they'll play a pair of road games. One squad will head to Viera at 1:05 p.m. ET to face the Nationals, who will pitch Livan Hernandez against Florida's Scott Olsen. The Marlins' other game is in Jupiter against the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. ET, with Ricky Nolasco starting against St. Louis' Anthony Reyes.
The Red Sox travel to Vero Beach to face the Dodgers on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Bronson Arroyo will throw for Boston, with former Red Sox right-hander Derek Lowe taking the mound for Los Angeles.
