Dodgers at the plate:
Juan Pierre went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, driving in Choo Freeman with the winning run in the sixth inning. Olmedo Saenz also went 2-for-3.
Red Sox at the plate:
The Sox had five hits, including doubles by Dustin Pedroia and Luis Jimenez, and singles by Ed Rogers, Brandon Moss and Alberto Prieto. Moss scored the Sox's lone run on Jimenez's RBI double in the eighth.
Dodgers on the mound:
Dodgers on the mound: Starter Randy Wolf went two innings, allowing two walks while striking out three. Chad Billingsley (two innings, one hit and one walk) picked up the win.
Red Sox on the mound:
In his first Grapefruit League start, Josh Beckett pitched three scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out two. Brendan Donnelly (one inning, two hits and one earned run) was charged with the loss.

Daisuke Matsuzaka gets his first Grapefruit League start on Tuesday as the Sox travel to Jupiter, Fla., to face the Marlins at 1:05 p.m. ET. The Dodgers stay in Fort Myers to face the Twins, with Jason Schmidt getting the nod at 1:05 p.m.
