Schilling was strong in his most extended start of the spring. Over seven innings, Schilling scattered six hits and two runs while striking out six. He didn't walk anyone. Craig Hansen pitched a scoreless eighth.
Orioles on the mound:
Bedard turned in a solid outing, holding the Sox to just one hit and one run over five innings while striking out eight. Closer Chris Ray walked two batters in his inning, but didn't allow a run.
