Twins at the plate: Luis Castillo and Rondell White were the only Twins to tally hits off Red Sox starter Curt Schilling on Wednesday night. Brock Peterson tripled in two runs in the eighth.

Red Sox at the plate: Manny Ramirez doubled in two runs in the third inning. Julio Lugo and Kevin Youkilis each tallied an RBI single the following inning. Coco Crisp also tallied two doubles in the game.

Twins on the mound: Johan Santana didn't have his best start in his final outing of the spring. Santana allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings of work, walking two and striking out five. Matt Guerrier pitched one scoreless inning and Dennys Reyes struck out three in his one inning of work.

Red Sox on the mound: Schilling made his final start before pitching Opening Day and delivered a solid performance. Schilling pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out one. J.C. Romero pitched one inning, allowing a hit and striking out one.

Grapefruit League records: Twins 12-16-1; Red Sox 13-12-3.
