Red Sox agree to terms with 18 players on one-year contracts for 2017

Club renews the contract of outfielder Mookie Betts

The Boston Red Sox today announced that the club has agreed to terms with 18 players on one-year contracts for the 2017 season. In addition, the club renewed the contract of outfielder Mookie Betts for the 2017 season.
 
President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement.
 
Agreeing to terms were pitchers Matt Barnes, Roenis Elias, Heath Hembree, Brian Johnson, Kyle Martin, Henry Owens, Noe Ramirez, Eduardo Rodriguez, Robby Scott, Carson Smith, Steven Wright, and Luis Ysla; catchers Blake Swihart and Christian Vazquez; infielders Marco Hernandez and Deven Marrero; and outfielders Andrew Benintendi and Bryce Brentz.
 
With these agreements, all players on the Red Sox major league roster are under contract for the 2017 season.
