Sox announce Minors coaches

Red Sox director of player development Mike Hazen announced the club's Minor League coaching staffs for the 2009 season on Monday.

Joining the club this year will be Dick Such, who will serve as Class A Salem's pitching coach, and Kevin Walker, who will fill that same capacity for Class A Lowell.

Triple-A Pawtuckett's staff will consist of manager Ron Johnson, pitching coach Rich Sauveur, hitting coach Russ Morman and trainer Greg Barajas.

Double-A Portland's staff will include manager Arnie Beyeler, pitching coach Mike Cather, hitting coach Dave Joppie and trainer Jon Jochim.

Salem's staff will be led by manager Chad Epperson, who will utilize Such as his pitching coach, Carlos Febles as his hitting coach and Paul Buccheit as his trainer.

Class A Greenville will be led by manager Kevin Boles, pitching coach Bob Kipper, hitting coach Billy McMillon and trainer Brandon Henry.

The Class A Lowell team's coaching staff will include manager Gary DiSarcina, Walker, hitting coach Luis Lopez and trainer David Herrera.

The Gulf Coast League team will be led by manager Dave Tomlin, pitching coach Walter Miranda and hitting coach U.L. Washington. A trainer will be announced at a later date.
