New Lenox, Ill., police told AP the 64-year-old Hall of Fame catcher was found behind the wheel with an open bottle of vodka on the floor of the truck.
"He was behind the wheel, unconscious," New Lenox deputy chief Robert Pawlisz said Tuesday.
According to the report, Pawlisz said Fisk was taken to a hospital for treatment and released from police custody after posting ball. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 29 in Will County, Ill.
Fisk, who played 11 years with the Red Sox and 13 with the White Sox, also faces charges of lane-use violation and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to the report.
