Beginning this Saturday at 10 a.m., fans may purchase 2013 Spring Training tickets at the JetBlue Park box office, online at redsox.com, and by phone at 888-REDSOX6. Fans who require ADA accessible seating may also call 877-REDSOX9. Hearing impaired fans may call the Red Sox TTY line at 617-226-6644.
The Red Sox will be offering hourly giveaways, raffles, and discounts at the team store for those who attend this Saturday’s festivities at JetBlue Park. Fans can also take their holiday photos in front of JetBlue’s Green Monster and the park’s decorated holiday tree, while refreshments will be available for purchase. Red Sox manager John Farrell and members of the coaching staff will be available to greet fans on Saturday.
The team will also collect canned food donations for Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc., which runs the Dunbar and Cape Coral soup kitchens, marketplaces, and cafes for the hungry and homeless.
Lee County, FL has been the Spring Training home of the Red Sox since 1993. The team begins its 2013 spring game schedule on Thursday, February 21 with the traditional, single-admission double-header against the Northeastern University Huskies and Boston College Eagles starting at 1:35 p.m.
The club’s Grapefruit League calendar begins on Saturday, February 23 with a JetBlue matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays (1:35 p.m. first pitch). This will be the first of six spring matchups with the Rays, including a St. Patrick Day’s tilt at JetBlue Park on Sunday, March 17 (1:35 p.m. first pitch).
The Red Sox will host the New York Yankees on Sunday, March 3, at 1:35 p.m., and will welcome Mayor’s Cup rival Minnesota to JetBlue Park four times. The 2013 spring slate also features eight scheduled night games at JetBlue, including a matchup on Tuesday, March 5 with Team Puerto Rico, which will be preparing for the third World Baseball Classic. The Red Sox complete 2013 Spring Training schedule is attached. All dates and times in the attached schedule are subject to change.
Fans are also welcome to attend the club’s free, open-public workouts at the Fenway South Player Development Complex before games get underway. The first workout for pitchers and catchers is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, while the first full squad workout is set for Friday, February 15.
