BOSTON, MA - Boston Red Sox Summer Baseball Camps presented by New Balance will return to Greater Boston June 24 through August 19 with nine consecutive weeklong sessions in various locations including Belmont, Beverly, Brookline, Cambridge, Dedham, Newton, Southborough, and Weston.
Boys and girls between the ages of five and 13 can enroll now at www.redsox.com/camps while space is available.
In addition to on-field skill development and hands-on professional instruction, campers will participate in baseball activities including round-robin tournament games, home run derbies, and an exclusive Baseball Olympics day. The camp also features a guided tour of Fenway Park and a chance to either meet a member of the 2013 Boston Red Sox or take an individual photo inside the team clubhouse, depending on the Red Sox game schedule. Each camper will also receive a complete Red Sox uniform including a hat, jersey, pants, socks, and belt.
"Our summer camps provide the next generation of Red Sox fans with a first-class instructional experience," said Boston Red Sox Vice President of Business Development Tim Zue. "Over the last three years, we've established a comprehensive program that enables our campers to improve their playing skills while also giving them unrivaled access to Red Sox players and coaches."
For the first time since its inception, the Red Sox Summer Baseball Camps will utilize video analysis for campers age nine and up in an effort to further develop the ballplayers' fundamental baseball skills. The new program also includes innovative instructional curriculum and differentiated practices based on each young player's grade and skill level.
"We offer a Major League experience based on leadership and character development," said Director of Red Sox Summer Baseball Camps Brendan Sullivan. "We have assembled the top coaching staff in the area and are committed to the individual development of each young ballplayer."
