The Boston Red Sox today recalled infielder Brock Holt from Triple-A Pawtucket. To make room for him on the 25-man roster, infielder Jonathan Diaz was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket following last night's game against the Angels. Holt, who will be available for tonight's game against the Angels at 10:05 p.m. ET, will wear No. 26.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington made the announcement.
