Red Sox-Orioles postponed due to inclement weather

Day-Night doubleheader scheduled for Saturday at Fenway Park


BOSTON - Friday's Red Sox-Orioles game has been postponed due to inclement weather associated with Tropical Storm Arthur. According to the Red Sox professional weather service, Telvent DTN, the current forecast calls for moderate to heavy rain showers throughout the afternoon and evening hours. The National Weather Service has also issued a flash flood watch for Boston and across southern New England. The forecast calls for good weather all day tomorrow.

Friday's game will be rescheduled as the first game of a day-night doubleheader, tomorrow, Saturday, July 5, beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET. Tomorrow's regularly scheduled game remains at 7:15 p.m. Tickets for today's game (Friday, July 4 -- Game #43) will be good for admission to the rescheduled contest at 1:05 p.m.

NESN will televise tomorrow's 1:05 p.m. game and FOX will televise the 7:15 p.m. game. WEEI 93.7 FM will broadcast both games in English and WCEC 1490 AM will broadcast in Spanish.
