Kelly gets a hit after call overturned

ST. LOUIS -- Right-hander Joe Kelly, pitching against the Cardinals just six days after he was traded by them, registered his third hit of the season after a successful replay challenge by manager John Farrell.

In the top of the third, Kelly hit a soft grounder to shortstop Jhonny Peralta and was initially ruled out at first.

After a review, the call was overturned, but Kelly was erased on a double-play grounder by Brock Holt just moments after being awarded first base.

Of the 22 calls Farrell has challenged this season, 12 have been overturned.
